MyPickList: The Car Lot of Products
MyPickList launched today. MyPickList is a new service where users like your self writes a review on a product that you have used in the past. MyPickList then publishes your review on the MyPickList website and “spams” your friends, relatives and neighbors, “After adding items to your PickList, just use our Broadcast tools to send your PickList to all your friends, relatives and neighbors. With our Bannerizing tool, you can add a banner of picks to your blog, website or myspace account. With our email tools, you can create contact lists, and email from your user page. We have other tools to also create badges, and RSS feeds for your PiskList.” (MyPickList.com) If you manage to convince someone to buy the product due to your review, you win commission on the sell.
Over all, I think MyPicsList is a awful waste of time and effort. People are going to write positive reviews on any, and I mean any, product they can in order to improve there chances of winning a comition. Whats the point of writing a negative review if you are not going to win any money for not selling a product? Quite frankly, I believe that MyPickList’s membership will quickly be filled with used car salesman pitching products left and right.
