Have you ever called a company or services over the phone and was greeted by a machine with a million menu options? We have dreamed to have a magic code that connects us directly to a human operator and that dream is now a reality. Gethuman has a large database that is constantly growing with “secret codes” and tips to get you connected to a human operator. A few tips to get a human on the line is to press buttons that were not listed in the menu. By pressing random buttons such as # or *, the interactive voice response (IVR) usually becomes confused and transfers the call to a operator. Other tips are to raise the tone of your voice since some IVRs are designed to measure the tone of your voice and transfer you to a live operator if you sound “angry”. Gethuman also allows users to post “tricks” to the database which then other users vote on the effectiveness of the posted trick.
