Snakes on a Plane

April 6th, 2006 | Joel | Entertainment

On August 18th the movie Snakes on a Plane will debut in the USA. What is interesting about this film is that it has cultivated a large following among Internet bloggers. The movie stars Samuel L. Jackson as a FBI agent who is escorting a high profile mobster on a plane. Obviously, as the title suggest, a bunch of snakes are let loose on the plane and a bunch of people die. Woo, wow!

Well anyway, I am not posting this article to talk about the movie, I mean, It sounds pretty lame anyway. Like I said, what is interesting about this film is that it has cultivated many bloggers to create fan sites and even their own Snakes on a Plane trailers and songs before the movie has been released. The influence has been so great that the director of the movie has made changes in the movie to satisfy Internet fans.

And as usual, I have media for your enjoyment. Below you will find links to Snakes on a Plane spoof movie trailer and song made by Brian Finkelstein along with the original NPR segment. (Note: The spoof movie trailer has been removed from this post due to its content. You may download the spoof movie trailer along with the spoof movie song at Brian Finkelstein website.)
