Google Calendar

As reported on Rumboard about an hour ago, Google has released its very anticipated calendar tool today. The calendar is very fast and easy to operate. The calendar has a couple of features that I have noticed that makes using Google’s calendar time efficient and simple such as the, “Quick add,” feature where the user can type in an event in plain English, like “Movies at 5:30pm 4/20/06″ and Google calendar quickly creates a Movie event for 5:30pm 4/20/06 automatically. The most useful feature of Google’s calendar would be its capacity to become a huge social calendar provider. Users are able to share their personal calendars with friends or with the world. If sharing your personal calendar makes you nervous, don’t be discouraged, you can limit your sharing to a per-event-biases. More over, users of Google’s calendar can also create additional calendars apart from their personal calendar. An example would be creating a calendar for an origination, group of friends, or for work. You can also share your calendar via a RSS feed, making it easy to incorporate into a website.
